July Review

More thoughts:

Gaby Dunn and Allison Raskin’s Just Between Us channel on YouTube is one of my favorite for scripted skits (another thing I’ve mentioned before) and I was beyond excited to get to read this book before its release. As I’m an Allison most of the time, my favorite skits revolve around her. It’s a bit uncomfortably #relatable a lot of the time. They also have what they call a Couch Show where they answer questions from viewers. It’s like watching an advice podcast, and they have some wonderful (and, again, relatable) answers that I feel would have been great for me when I was in high school or college. And I love that the book feels true to the skits and the Couch Show videos, but perfectly fit in a YA setting. I gave the book 4 stars for the reasons I mentioned in my original review and because I was impressed with the way they adapted their channel into a book.

If you’re looking to add more diversity to your TBR, please check out this book! Like I said in my July review, this would be the perfect book to read along with a friend, especially if you’re heading off to college away from them.

I received an E-ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
